SANITARY CERTIFICATE
Certify the MCGAN'S OOTY SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE, D.NO.5/635,
PERAR, KOTAGIRI ROAD, T. MYNALA POST, THE NILGIRIS-643 002 has been
inspected and the building
and premises are found satisfactory on
the
following aspects
• The class rooms and surroundings are maintained neat and clean.
• The sanitary arrangements provided are adequate and satisfactory.
THIS CERTIFICATE IS ISSUED SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
• The garbage generated within the School Premises should be collected and disposed
by appointing required sanitary staff.
• On any account, the garbage shall not be burnt or kept more than
24 hours in the
school premises.
• Usage of plastics in the school is prohibited.
• NOC should be obtained from the Deputy Director of Health Services to run a Food
Establishment (Canteen/Mess) within the premises.
• Fire Precautionary measures and first aid box should be provided.
• Child labour should not be engaged on any account.
• This certificate is liable to be cancelled, without notice, at any time if any health
nuisance found to be under Tamilnadu Public Health Act, 1939.
• Overhead Tank and Water Sump shall be hermetically sealed and scientifically closed
and shall not be breeding sources of mosquitoes.
• Display and exhibition of Board:
As per rule 3 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition and Smoking and Spitting Rules 2003,

Every person in charge of place of public work or use shall display and exhibit a
board at a conspicuous place in or outside the place prominently stating that the
place is as "No Smoking and No Spitting Place" and that "Smoking or Spitting here
is an Offence" which shall be both in Tamil and English and the version in English
shall be in the second place below the Tamil

The Tamil version shall be written predominantly in the board by providing more
space than English.
✓
No scale of tobacco inside the premises of the institution.
✓
No Smoking or Chewing of Tobacco inside the premises of institution
(By the
students, staff and teachers)

Display of sign boards (No Smoking area — Smoking here is an Offence) of at least
60x30cm size inside the institution at various locations.
✓
No sale of tobacco within the radius of
100 meters of the educational institution.
(Head Master / Principal should ensure)

IEC materials like posters that give information about the ill effects of tobacco have
to be displayed inside the institution.
✓
Having a copy of COPT Act 2003 and Rules 2004.
✓
Display of sign boards " Sale of tobacco products around the Institution within
100
meters banned " prominently near the main gate of the institution.
• Drinking water shall be chlorinated and shall have 0.5ppm of Residual Chlorine.
•
Fly/Mosquitoes breeding shall not be permitted within school premises.
• Any case of fever with rashes should be intimated immediately to DDHS and
monthly report in prescribed format to be submitted.
• Sanitary napkin wending machine and incineration/ choola should be made
available in all High schools and Higher secondary schools.
•
Preventive measures against COVID-19 should be strictly followed:
✓ Everyone should wear Face mask properly.
✓ Social distance should be maintained
✓ Hands should be washed frequently
• "Hand washing" posters should be pasted in Hand washing areas.
This certificate issued is liable to be cancelled at any time on infringement if any
of the above said conditions and for improper maintenance of sanitation,
improper maintenance of building as well as toilets in the School.
Certificate is valid for the period of one year from the date of issue.
